Preparing for a time when the world is much different from today has so many variables and elements, it’s really hard to know where to begin. And that can stall a lot of people out. Don’t let that happen. If you begin to prep today, you’ll be more prepared tomorrow – no matter how small your efforts are.

Prepping for beginners is what this site is all about. Yes, we’ll include more advanced information, but our heart is with the newbie. It’s where we were just a year ago. You can read our stories here.

So where does the prepping beginner start? That’s a question that will have a different answer for every person.

But before you even begin to tackle the question of how to start prepping you need to know the your answers to a couple of key questions:

Why prep?” – There are many reasons a person might become a prepper. This article addresses some of them.

What am I prepping for?” – The real question is which of the many events that could occur are you going to prepare for. Your prepping will depend on your view of world events, where you live, your life circumstances and what preparations you might be living out without consciously thinking about prepping.

I don’t know what you already have, so I can’t tell you specifically what you personally need, but we have some general recommendations under the link What Do I Need?

After those issues have been defined more clearly, you really are ready to begin getting prepped. That’s when you refer to our link called How Do I Begin?
